Birthday number canvas

You guys might remember that a couple years ago I altered an old photo frame and put the numbers of our birthdays on it and I loved it--for awhile. Eventually though, I realized it needed to be bigger, better and hopefully have a little more impact.  It's been on my "to-do" list for oh so long and last week I decided to finally get it done. And that's what I want to share today.

This was a 16x20 blank canvas panel. I began by painting the canvas black and then using the numbers I had cut with my SCAL2 and Expression to create the finished panel. Once all the numbers were adhered I sealed with 2 coats of Mod Podge. 

Lining the numbers up is the only "difficult" part of this project. Some of mine are slightly off if you look well enough but I'm good with it. Over all I'm pleased with the way it came out and it added just the right touch to our entry table :)
